08.28.2008

China Court – Recently, Beijing Xicheng Disctrict Court concluded a labor dispute that an employee was forced by the employer to sign labor contract with another employer. The defendant fired the plaintiff under the pretense that he refused to sign a labor contract. The court believes that there is evidence to prove the fact that the defendant required the plaintiff to sign a labor contract with another company. The practice is obviously a violation of the law. Therefore, the court adjudged that the defendant should pay economic compensation and additional economic compensation to the plaintiff for the dismissal.
