First International CSR Standard to Come Out

Jinan Daily – According to the Shandong Province Fourth Summit Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility, the draft of ISO 26000, the first CSR standard established by the International Organization for Standardization, has been completed for voting. If adopted, it will be promulgated in October this year, becoming a tool for enterprises and CSR organizations to assess their operation. It is especially important for China since it will directly affect the international competitiveness and sustainable development of Chinese enterprises.

Third Certified GRI Training Held in Shenzhen

On August 18-20, a certified GRI Training was successfully held by Intertek in Shenzhen. The two and a half day intensive training taught participants about the Global Reporting Initiative, the principles used in creating a corporate sustainability report and how to use the GRI framework to guide their reporting process. This marks the third training by Intertek, after their GRI training held in Shenzhen in May, and their second training held in Hong Kong in July.
