Pollution Declaration and Registration

Enterprises that discharge pollution are required to truthfully fill out a Pollution Discharge Declaration Registration Form. For new building, renovation and expansion construction projects, pollution discharge declaration and registration should be conducted within a month after the completed facilities for pollution prevention and control pass verification. Enterprises that have successfully registered receive a certificate.

Information Disclosure

Regulations set the framework for enterprises to voluntarily report their environmental performance to the public. Enterprises that exceed limits of pollution discharge must announce their information to the public as a mandatory requirement.

Discharge Fees

Enterprises that discharge pollution are required to pay discharge fees according to the types and quantities of pollutants, subject to additional fees discharge over acceptable limits. Enterprises must follow stipulated procedures on calculating and submitting payments of discharge fees. Certain concessions are provided for when enterprises face various difficulties.
