Managing Working Hours

Working hours is an important part of HR management and it also has significant implications for labor rules, maintaining operational order and improving production efficiency. Management of working hours should careful consideration of several points. The first is standardization of working-hour policy. This includes defining the specifics regular work time, overtime, early release, and absenteeism. A second task is establishing and developing a time record system, including how to confirm attendance and other items of importance in this regard. Third, managing leave: this should codify the reasons, procedures and approval privileges of taking leave. A final point is managing instances of special working hours. This will apply to personnel and positions who work special working hours in accordance with the law. Employees under different working-hour systems should not be confused. A registration and filing system should also be kept, with clear regulations on rest breaks and policies for employees with special working hours.
